Bermuda Seed Can be Tricky
One of the confusing elements to a Bermuda Lawn is the fact that the Hybrid Strains like B-419 (what most people have) are all Sterile Plants. Meaning they don’t produce a working “seed”.
This is intentional. Bermuda and Zoysia Strains are bred to not produce a seed. This requires you to buy Sod for any damaged areas. If you purchase seed in a nursery, or Home Depot, it will not match what you have. It will grow at a different length, and a different color and you will not be able to get rid of it.

We have done our homework and found a seed producer that has developed a match for B-419. That means when you have areas that die, we don’t need to sod it at a cost of $2.00/sqft, we can seed damaged areas for $0.20 per ft.². That’s 10% of the cost of Sod, and it blends perfectly.
